“If I knew then what I know now…”
There are many times where an opportunity arrives to do something, go somewhere, say something, speak your mind, show your talents, work your butt off, or even just DO something you’ve never done before. A lot of those moments we take for granted and pass on them for one reason or another. It can be anything, the risk taking a new job, going/skipping out on Prom, not joining a club/group for fear of humiliation, not exploring your talents, not REALIZING that you can literally do anything you possibly want to do. Really, anything. You can. You just have to start first, & WORK. You can never fail when you never stop trying.
What I want to say is, don’t let those moments pass. Just because it may seem silly or embarrssing, difficult or too easy, pointless or too serious. Obviously, ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT FEELING on anything. But take life in. It goes by way too fast for us to not take full advantage of it. You don’t want to look back and regret, or have nothing to think back on besides day to day work, school, eat, sleep. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter. It’s as simple as letting yourself say “yes” instead of “no.” Whatever makes YOU happy, do it. As long as it’s a good thing and fun, and something different from the normal day in, day out… go with it. It makes you realize how important each minute, each hour, and each day really is.
